Job Description:
Multiskilled Shift Engineer
Wigan
Shift - 4 on 4 off Days/Nights
£46,000 - £48,000
This multi skilled engineering role carries out planned and reactive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and reduce quality issues. Driving continuous improvement of all machinery and equipment.
*Corrective, preventive & predictive maintenance routines
*Planning of shutdowns
*Spare parts testing
*Manage contractor’s activities
*Working in a safe manner – adhering to H&S
*Fault finding and problem solving
*Respond efficiently and effectively to equipment breakdowns
*Ensure maximum focus is given to their nominated production area
*Assist and support operation engineers in managing the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of machinery & equipment
*Drive continuous improvement
*Use of a CMMS system for maintenance management
*LEAN methodologies
*H&S Compliance
Skills & Experience Required
*Recognised Engineer Apprenticeship (electrical, mechanical or multi-skilled)
*Academic Qualification Degree in Engineering or ONC/BTEC/HNC + Time Served
*Minimum 2 years of experience in FMCG environments
