Working Arrangement: Hybrid (4 days in-office, 1 day remote)
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Job Summary:
As the Assistant Financial Controller, you will oversee and manage critical financial functions across multiple properties within our hotel group. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will help drive financial performance by monitoring and optimizing financial operations, maintaining compliance, and ensuring timely reporting. This role will also involve close collaboration with hotel management and various departments to support strategic decision-making and enhance profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
*Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and review monthly financial statements, P&L reports, and budget comparisons, providing insightful analysis on variances to aid in decision-making.
*Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate and realistic financial projections.
*Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy in all transactions and timely resolution of any discrepancies.
*Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and provide forecasts to maintain financial stability and inform strategic planning.
*Internal Controls & Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, strengthening internal controls to safeguard company assets.
*Audit Preparation: Coordinate and prepare documentation for audits, acting as a key point of contact for external auditors.
*Cost Control: Identify areas for cost savings across departments, working closely with department heads to implement effective controls.
*Team Leadership & Development: Support and mentor junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
*Collaboration with Operations: Work closely with hotel managers and other stakeholders to review financial performance and align on strategic goals.
