The Role
We re on the lookout for a Communications Manager to join our Communications team at Unite Students! If you’re passionate about creating impactful communications, love collaborating across teams and have a knack for bringing fresh ideas to the table, this could be the perfect role for you.
In this role, you’ll lead the way in showcasing our brand, promoting our sustainability initiatives and ensuring our residents have an exceptional experience. You’ll also support our operations and city teams with the tools and content they need to deliver outstanding service to our residents.
If you have a strong background in external and internal communications, PR experience, project management skills and a collaborative mindset then this role is for you!
What You’ll Be Doing
*Create engaging external and internal communications that highlight our accommodation quality, customer experience, sustainability, and product innovation
*Take a lead role in briefing and managing the consumer PR agency
*Lead the development and delivery of sustainability communications strategy and plans, promoting our initiatives to both internal and external audiences
*Provide line management and mentor aCommunications Coordinator, ensuring their work supports overall communication goals while fostering collaboration across the broader Communications team.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication across all channels.
*Continuously monitor and adapt communications strategies to align with company goals and audience needs
*Track and report on key communications activities, including learnings and improvements for future projects and campaigns.
What We’re Looking for in You
*Strong background in external and internal communications aligned with the business objectives
*Brand PR and/or PR agency experience
*Proven experience delivering impactful consumer campaigns and sustainability communications
*Experience in developing PR agency briefs and agency relationship management
*Strong project management skills, handling multiple tasks and deadlines
*Excellent copywriting and content creation skills
*Experience managing reputational issues and crafting operational messaging
*Previous line management experience, with the ability to mentor team members
*Strong understanding of customer experience and service-related communications
*High attention to detail, with excellent organisational skills
*Collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills, working well across teams.
