Job Description:
The Physical Commodities Operations team at Macquarie is responsible for providing business-aligned operations, including deal validation, settlement, trade finance, trade documentation, and inventory control support to Macquarie’s commodities business. This team plays a crucial role in supporting the fast-evolving Commodity Markets and Financing business, contributing to its growth and success.

As a Director of Physical Commodities Operations, you will lead a team of high-performing specialists, driving performance and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Your role will involve reviewing the current state of physical commodity operations, identifying plans for improvement, and overseeing their delivery. Additionally, you will keep abreast of commodity market and technology trends, identify and leverage new opportunities aligned with strategic goals, and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business, risk, and operations teams.
What you offer

*10+ years’ of experience in physical commodities, preferably within a banking or regulated financial setting
*Proven track record of leading diverse teams to achieve strong results
*Demonstrated ability to facilitate and deliver projects driving measurable risk management outcomes
*Ability to balance the detail of physical commodity business process and controls with the ability to think broadly and create a strategic plan
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable interacting with and influencing senior internal and external stakeholders.
