Job Description:
Do you have experience in a heavy manufacturing, factory or construction role?
Are you physically fit?
Our client, a leading aerospace engineering firm based in Rochester, are looking to recruit Production Operatives to work in their Foundry to assist in the aluminium investment casting process. Full training will be given so you do not need to have worked in this field before.
As a Foundry Production Operative your main duties will include:
*Aluminium melt preparation prior to casting
*Cleaning and preparing moulds for casting
*Pouring molten metal into the moulds (casting)
*Moving moulds following casting
*Removing the ceramic shell from the finished cast
*Reporting any issues with production machinery to team leaders
The ideal Foundry Production Operative will have:
*A Manufacturing/Factory/Production/Construction environment.
*A good work ethic, a good level of physical coordination and have excellent time keeping skills.
*Be physically fit as the role entails a high degree of manual handling and long periods of standing.
*Safety boots. All other PPE provided.
Hours of Work
*Monday to Thursday 6am-4.30pm - 40 hours per week
There is the opportunity for optional overtime in other departments on Friday.
Benefits include free on-site parking, 25 days holiday plus Bank holidays and pension.
