Job Description:
CMA is working exclusively with a highly successful division of a Manufacturing Group based in Petersfield, Hampshire, in their recruitment of a Management Accountant to undertake responsibility for the production of the monthly management accounts for a key business unit within the Group.
What will the Management Accountant role involve?
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the main responsibilities of the Management Accountant role will involve:
*Timely and accurate preparation of the monthly financial reports including Trial Balance, Profit and Loss, and Balance Sheet for presentation to the senior management team.
*Maintenance of the General Ledger including preparation and posting of journals, ensuring the accuracy of balances and producing the requires supporting schedules and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Monthly preparation of the Accruals and Prepayments Schedule and maintenance of the Fixed Asset register.
*Supporting the annual budgeting process and any associated analysis of any monthly variance.
Suitable Candidate for the Management Accountant opportunity:
*Applicants for the position will either hold a full accountancy qualification or be qualified by experience with previous experience of undertaking a similar Management Accountant role in a fast-paced environment.
*Self-motivation, a hands-on approach, and the ability to build effective and positive working relationships with non-finance stakeholders will be essential to undertake the role successfully.

*The role will be offered on a hybrid working basis, after probation, with the successful applicant expected to attend the office 3 days a week.
*33 days holiday including bank holidays.
