The Sales Manager role:
As a Sales Manager, you’ll be passionate about automotive knowledge and solutions, and highly influential and approachable in how you engage with colleagues and customers. As new solutions emerge, you’ll learn, share and inspire your team members, personally encouraging and demonstrating the skills and behaviours associated with Toyota’s foundational management philosophy, ’The Toyota Way’.
You’ll meet, and at times exceed, yours and your team’s key targets whilst continuously analysing, reviewing and improving progress. You’ll be proud to represent Toyota and Parklands Truro, which you will demonstrate and exemplify in all your interactions with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Being responsible for managing a fast-paced and busy sales environment
+ Leading, inspiring and engaging the sales team
+ Ensuring each member of the sales team is working to achieve targets
+ Ensuring sales performance processes and systems are as robust as possible
+ Managing sales team development, performance and recruitment
+ Maximising commercial opportunities through providing advice to sales and aftersales executives
+ Planning and implementing effective local promotions, dealership displays and advertising campaigns
+ Managing the supply of used car stock effectively in line with centre guidelines and goals
+ Understanding the relevant local market, competition, and consumer influences, analysing a variety of commercial data and working with the dealership management to ensure the success and growth of the centre
+ Being a core member of the centre team, observing and leading by example
About you:
+ A full UK driving licence
+ Eligibility to work in the UK
+ Commercially-minded, you lead for results and are driven to exceed performance goals
+ Strong people management and leadership skills with the ability to bring out the best in your team
+ Flexible to work hours required to carry out the role effectively and travel (to the training sessions)
+ Passionate about automotive and wish to work for the largest manufacturer in the world
+ Results-focused and commercially driven
+ Ability to continually learn about new products, whilst inspiring and educating others about all Toyota solutions
+ Exceptionally strong communication skills and people skills
+ Hold previous management experience you wish to build on
+ Proven experience in sales and centre experience
+ Ability to deliver great customer experiences, build rapport and connections
+ Successful track record of delivering outstanding results as well as delivering exceptional customer satisfaction
