Job Description:
Our client is looking for an Partnership Sales Executive with a demonstrable track record in direct sales with brands that target the Gen Z / Millennial market.
As the UK’s biggest live talk-radio station for 18 to 34s, they produced shows with some of the biggest names in UK entertainment that have gone on to dominate the Top 5 UK podcast charts, including James Acaster, Ed Gamble, Jackmaate, Joel Dommett, Pete Wicks and many more.
Following exponential growth in their audience,they are expanding their roster of programming even further. As part of this expansion, they are looking to hire ad-sales executives that can draw on their extensive list of contacts to match-up advertisers with their programming.
With a roster of new shows, that cover Football, Food, Travel, Lifestyle, Gaming, Current Affairs, Sex and Dating, Finance, Fitness, Property and more, there’s a huge variety of potential advertisers that can be offered a unique way to reach the highly prized Gen Z and Millennial demographic.
The successful candidate will be joining the team on the ground floor and as FUBAR succeeds, you will benefit with increased responsibly and earnings via your basic salary, plus a generous uncapped commission structure as well as share options.

*Using live TALK-radio as a familiar anchor, they reache millions of 18- to 34-year-olds with original talk-radio, podcasts, video and social media.
*News stories shows appear regularly in the online press (over 900 stories in 2023), seen by an average of 8 million people each month.
*The average age of listeners to other talk-radio stations is in the 50s. Our client’s average listener age is just 24.
*Part of the secret sauce has been to use influencers as show hosts, instead of traditional radio hosts.
Job Summary
*You’ll be responsible for actively identifying and approaching potential brand partners, advertisers and sponsors for our inventory of new and existing shows.
*You’ll be expected to leverage your existing direct sales relationships, rather than any media agencies to achieve this and secure many more new direct relationships quickly.
*You’ll have strong market knowledge of brands that are actively interested in marketing to 18-34-year-olds.
*You will be expected to get to know our programming, demonstrate an intuitive understanding of which brands would make a good fit for each show, and set up meetings with them.
*You will also be working closely with the production team and presenters to help coordinate the development of creative solutions and activations for each individual programme. Therefore, a creative mind will be essential in selling the inventory.
*You will have excellent copywriting, design and presentation skills to communicate effectively to key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
*You’ll be responsible for delivering on our revenue targets and you’ll be rewarded with increasing and uncapped commission on every sale you make.
*As they expand, and revenues build, you will be encouraged to take on more responsibility by building and running a successful sales team, to further expand the company’s revenue and your commission.

*Thorough knowledge of sales process and sales tools.
*High degree of competence with a range of presenting tools.
*Educated to degree level and able to evidence a track record in sales.

*Ability to think creatively and generate original ideas.
*Knowledge of the radio market would be an advantage, but not essential, but an understanding of the Gen Z and Millennial market is mission critical.
*Familiarity with the increasing range of communication platforms, and how they can be used in advertising and marketing campaigns.
*The confidence and tenacity to pursue leads, overcome obstacles, and secure deals.
*Resilience and the ability to handle rejection.
*Business acumen, and the ability to make accurate revenue forecasts.
*Impeccable attention to detail.
*Ability to work independently but also as part of a team.
The Package
*The role is based at their London, Islington studio and offices (2 mins walk from the Piccadilly Line tube) though some home working is also possible. Minimum hours are 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday, but you will be motivated to put in the hours necessary to achieve success.
*A competitive package is available for the right candidate, including a basic salary of £45,000-50k p.a. plus a highly generous sliding scale commission structure of up to 10% on every sale, which is uncapped, so each sale you make puts extra money in your bank account.
*By the end of your second year, if you meet your goals, a six-figure salary is achievable.
*Performance-related company share options are awarded at the end of each year so you can own more of a fast-growing company as it expands.
