An exceptional opportunity for a skilled and accomplished Financial Controller to oversee a £17million t/o UK entity of an international Group.
This isn’t a "ready-made" position. This is role that requires someone who thrives in a changing environment as the business embarks on a period of modernisation, expansion and development.
You will overhaul processes, implement and drive efficiencies, update and/or change the ERP system, restructure finance, enhance reporting, work closely with the international CFO on new opportunities and be given the autonomy you need to mold the finance department as you see fit to drive strategic growth and development.
This is a highly strategic role, with multiple international reporting requirements as well as oversight of day-to-day financial processes and team management. You will manage a team of vastly experienced accountants, producing everything up to management accounts-level for sign-off, beyond this will be your remit, supporting strategic growth, and ensuring robust financial management.
Speaking with the MD, they admit finance hasn’t kept up to pace with the growth and success seen throughout the rest of the business. They operate within a complex and sophisticated industry, with a highly reputable name in the market, they need finance to align with the current scale and demands of the business to ensure continued growth and success.
For the successful candidate, who drives this transformation project and becomes the financial guide, soundboard and consultant for the UK entity, the future will be very bright, with the opportunity to progress into a Finance Director position in the future. No one is above you in this position, so it’s yours for the taking.
To be capable of achieving the outlined plans, you will need determination, a strong business and commercial acumen and the gravitas to implement change and challenge the status quo. Proven experience as a Qualified Financial Controller is essential here given the level of responsibility in the role, ideally with ecommerce experience however this isn’t essential.
