Job Description:
Pertemps are working with our public sector client to recruit for a Facilities Team Leader (soft services) on a temporary basis in Edinburgh.
Role - Facilities Team Leader
Location - Central Edinburgh with travel around the city as required
Hours - 36 hours per week (must be flexible with hours of work)
Duration - Until end of March 2025 (with possible extension)
Pay rate - £20.03 per hour
Start date - asap
The successful candidate will be working as part of an established team and will have their own dedicated area of the city to oversee. You will be looking after a variety of operational buildings, including schools, community centres and offices. You will be carrying out, but not be limited to: *Leading and managing the delivery of the service provision
*Organising, planning and delivering services to meet with agreed service levels
*Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, legislation and procedures
*Being proactive in your approach whilst looking to provide continuous improvement
*Management and coordination of sub-contractors
*Managing staff
*Attending meetings
*Reporting on the work being undertaken in your area
*Liaising with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders
*Reviewing the asset register, ensuring it is kept up to date
*Escalating any issues as necessary
*Any other tasks as required
You should have a proven track record in a similar role, have excellent communication skills both in writing and verbally, have strong IT skills and be flexible in your approach. A driving licence is required for this position.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain a PVG at a cost of £59 for a new application (£18 for an update).
