Job Description:
Pertemps are working with our public sector client to recruit for a number of Cleaning Supervisors on a temporary basis in Edinburgh.
Role - Cleaning Supervisor
Location - Various locations in Edinburgh
Hours - 36 hours per week (7am - 9am then 3pm until 8pm but may have flexibility with hours)
Duration - Until end of March 2025 (with possible extension)
Pay rate - £14.93 per hour
Start date - asap
The successful candidate will be working as part of an established team and will have their own dedicated locations to manage. You will be looking after a variety of operational buildings, including schools, community centres and offices. You will be carrying out, but not be limited to: *Allocation of daily tasks to cleaning operatives
*Logging any complaints and ensuring they are resolved
*Escalating unresolved issues to the Team Leader as required
*Attend meetings as required
*Ordering materials when required
*Managing stock rotation and monitoring stock levels
*Assisting with cleaning tasks as required
*Responsible for signing in / out, incident logs, absence logs and ensuring these are logged and kept in the correct manner
*Carry out inductions and training
*Report any safety or maintenance issues to Janitorial staff or to the FM helpdesk
*Any other tasks as required
You should have a proven track record in a similar supervisory role, have excellent communication skills both in writing and verbally, have strong IT skills and be flexible in your approach. You must have knowledge of BICS standards and health & safety. A driving licence is desirable
The successful candidate will be required to obtain a PVG at a cost of £59 for a new application (£18 for an update).
