We have an exciting opportunity on behalf of our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing SME, to join their finance team as an Interim Financial Controller. This is a high-impact role where you can make a significant contribution during a critical growth phase.
About the Role: Our client, based in Haywards Heath, is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to provide essential support during a period of transformation. You will be responsible for driving financial stability, enhancing process efficiencies, and delivering insightful financial reporting. This role will enable the senior finance team to focus on strategic projects and key deadlines by taking charge of core accounting functions.
*Position: Interim Financial Controller
*Location: Haywards Heath, West Sussex
*Rate: £400-450 Inside Ir35
*Duration: Until the end of April 2025
Key Responsibilities: *Oversee financial reporting, audit preparation, and annual budgeting with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
*Lead accounts payable (AP) operations, addressing system challenges and ensuring no backlog develops.
*Independently manage essential financial tasks, ensuring compliance and precision in all activities.
*Proactively identify and resolve process inefficiencies to optimise financial operations.
*Deliver clear, timely financial reports and insights to support senior management decision-making.
*Provide support to the finance team during high-demand periods, ensuring seamless operations.
What We’re Looking For: *Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Management Accountant, particularly in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
*Strong proficiency in financial systems (Sage 50 essential) and AP systems
*Demonstrated expertise in audits, budgeting, and monthly financial reporting.
*Adaptable, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
*Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
*Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide valuable insights under pressure.
