Indirect Category Buyer: Are you an experienced buyer with a strong track record in managing indirect spend categories?
In this exciting role, you will manage procurement activities across a wide range of indirect spend categories, including office supplies, consumables, hire contracts and services.

INDIRECT CATEGORY BUYER:
Reporting directly to the Director of Supply Chain and Planning, you will play a key role in negotiating contracts, managing suppliers, and ensuring long-term value is achieved for the business.
What you’ll be doing:
*Manage the procurement of indirect categories such as office goods, consumables, hire contracts, services, and utilities.
*Lead supplier negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions.
*Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure value, compliance, and performance.
*Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and supplier consolidation.
*Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple sites to align procurement strategies with business goals.
*Travel to supplier locations and across the Group’s sites as required.
Your background:
*BSc or MSc degree, preferably in a relevant field.
*Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role.
*Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
*Strong communication abilities, with experience engaging multiple stakeholders.
*Analytical mindset and strong logical reasoning skills.
*Proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Dynamics.
*Previous experience managing indirect spend or category purchases.
It would be a bonus if you have:
*Knowledge of chemicals, chemical distribution, or chemical manufacturing.
*CIPS qualification or equivalent.
*Additional IT skills beyond MS Office and Dynamics.
*Experience in contract management.
