Job Description:
Here at Contract Personnel, we are recruiting a Hygiene Team Leader , to join a well-established company located in North Walsham.
Role
As a Hygiene Team Leader you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleanliness throughout the site. You will adhere to colour coding rules for all cleaning equipment. You will be responsible for the completion of all relevant checklists for the jobs completed by you and ensure you follow safe ways of working at all times and in particular with regards to the use of PPE and of chemical handling. You will provide support and expertise to all departments with a view to maximising performance, as well as any other duties as instructed by senior management.
The Hygiene Team Leader will work to high, demanding standards. They will be responsible for delivering a clean and food safe environment, ensuring safe and cost-effective practices are adopted throughout the team. They will also share their specialist knowledge with others to continuously improve efficiencies:
• Plan, Organise, Manage and Motivate to maximise site output, ensuring equipment and staff are working effectively and efficiently.
• Make sure stock take is carried out promptly on a Sunday afternoon and, ensuring that all cleaning equipment and chemicals are in stock for the following week via the Hygiene Manager.
• Enforce relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Report immediately any incidents and situations potentially hazardous to the health and safety of personnel and equipment that may come to your attention.
• Ensure a healthy, safe, and clean working environment always.
• Ensure adequate resources are available to meet required production output.
• Plan and maintain any training requirements.
• Assist in the monitoring and recording of daily hygiene cleaning schedules.
• Report any damaged equipment finds to the Hygiene manager or Shift manager.
• Any other duties as assigned as per senior management request.
Essential Qualifications:
• Numeracy and English literacy skills.
• Food Safety, Food Hygiene and HACCP level 2.
• Effective time management skills.
• Organisational ability and proficient Microsoft Office skills.
• Previous experience working within a factory Hygiene team.
Desirable:
• Chemical awareness training.
• Food Hygiene Level 3.
• Experience within an FMCG environment.
Personal Attributes:
• Good team worker, who works to a high degree of accuracy.
• Can work on own initiative and as part of a team, practical and pragmatic.
• Smart appearance; pleasant manner; easy to work with.
• High standard of confidentiality.
• Excellent Communication Skills and Approachable.
• Respectful of work colleagues.
Working Hours and Pay
Friday to Sunday – 07:00 – 20:00
£15.45ph
