Job Description:
Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to support a well-regarded SEND school in Wakefield as they seek a dedicated and experienced SCERTS Teacher. Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs, using the SCERTS model as a framework.
*Implement personalised strategies to support social communication and emotional regulation, creating a safe space for students to express themselves.
*Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and family members, ensuring a consistent approach that supports each child’s goals.
*Monitor and assess progress, adapting teaching strategies to align with students’ evolving needs.
*Encourage independence and resilience, empowering students to build vital life skills.
What We’re Looking For:
*A qualified teacher with experience in special educational needs, particularly using the SCERTS model or similar approaches.
*A compassionate educator with a deep commitment to supporting students with autism and other complex needs.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
*Resilience, creativity, and patience, allowing you to adapt to diverse learning needs and create an inclusive classroom environment.
