Job Description:
We’re looking for an experienced Accounts and Audit Senior to join a reputable firm located between Kettering and Corby. This role is ideal for a professional with at least 4-5 years of practice experience, ready to take on a senior role in a supportive, growth-oriented team.
Role Breakdown:
*Accounts work (60%): Preparation of accounts and tax computations, management accounts, and VAT returns.
*Audit work (40%): Conducting audits from planning to completion and managing audit assignments with junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare accounts and business tax computations for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
*Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries.
*Conduct audits of financial statements, ensuring readiness for manager review.
*Oversee and review junior team members’ work, providing guidance and training.
*Prepare management accounts and VAT returns as needed.
Requirements:
*ACA or ACCA qualified with a minimum of 4-5 years of practice experience.
*Strong audit experience, able to lead audit assignments independently.
*Familiar with owner-managed business accounts and statutory financial statements.
*Excellent communication skills and confidence in client interactions.
*Proficiency with Excel and solid overall IT skills.
*Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
