Job Description:
I am hiring an experienced Senior or Semi-Senior Accountant to join our accounts team. This role is ideal for a motivated and driven individual with a minimum of 4-5 years of practice experience who is looking to grow within a supportive and collaborative environment. Reporting to the Partners and Client Portfolio Managers, this role involves delivering a high standard of accounting services across a diverse client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
*Assist in VAT returns, tax returns, and ad-hoc accountancy tasks as needed
*Contribute to audit work for clients, with potential to manage or assist audit engagements
*Ensure compliance with accounting standards and provide strategic insights to clients
*Engage directly with clients to build and maintain strong professional relationships
Requirements:
*Qualified or part-qualified ACA/ACCA; candidates qualified by experience will also be considered
*A minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in a practice environment
*Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and accounting standards
*Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
*Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
*Audit experience is highly desirable
