Job Opportunity: Transport Manager
Fixed 6 Month Contract
Salary £55,000.00 per annum
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Transport Manager on the outskirts of Plymouth on a 6-month fixed contract.
Role overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transport operations, optimising delivery routes, and leading a team of drivers to ensure exceptional service.
Key responsibilities:
*Overseeing and optimising all transport operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products.
*Develop and implement transport strategies to optimise routes and reduce costs.
*Lead and motivate a large team of drivers ensuring high levels of performance and safety.
*Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics and improve service delivery.
*Manage relationships with third-party transport providers and negotiate contracts.
*Ensuring compliance and maintenance of all transport vehicles and equipment.
*Resolving any transport related issues or challenges that arise.
*Conduct regular training and development sessions for staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
Skills and Qualifications:
*Strong leadership and time management skills.
*Strong relationship-building skills
*Preferable knowledge and understanding of transport legislation
*Holds a CPC qualification
*Engaging, enthusiastic, and proactive.
*Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Benefits:
