Job Description:
An interesting new Finance Business Partner role has arisen at a Acute NHS Trust for an experienced accountant to lead the financial management of its key business units.
As the key interface between the finance department and the business, you will be responsible for financial planning and operational activities including budget development, forecasting and budget monitoring. This includes the provision of a professional business partnering and support service to internal stakeholders and to be seen as a valued financial advisor to staff in delivering the business units and organisation’s strategic objectives. Managing a small team you will ensure accounting functions are undertaken to a high standard in order to support staff and voluntary governance and to provide financial analyses required to support meaningful decision making.
You should be a qualified finance business partner, or equivalent, with significant experience in financial management, including budgeting and forecasting, within a similarly complex organisation - ideally another NHS provider Trust. You will need to be able strong business partnering skills and the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders. First rate Excel skills will also be helpful. Crucial to the success of the contract will be strong communication skills as you will be working with a wide range of people at varying levels and you will need to rapidly build effective working relationships.
