Your new Primary School

This Redbridge Primary School has partnered with Hays Education and are seeking passionate and dedicated teachers to join their team as a regular supply teacher. As a regular supply teacher for the school, you can choose to work between 1-5 days a week based on your lifestyle needs. In this role, you will inspire a love for teaching and bring the enthusiasm and energy needed to make a positive impact on children’s lives.

About your role as a Supply Teacher

As a Supply Teacher, you will have:


*Good knowledge of the curriculum: You will need to cover classes delivering planned lessons set by the class teacher or sometimes your own lessons for unplanned sick cover.
*Delivering Lessons: Teach pre-prepared lessons and ensure continuity of learning in the absence of the regular teacher.
*Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, managing student behaviour effectively.
*Adapting to Different Classes: Quickly adapt to different classroom settings and student needs, often with little prior notice.
*Following School Policies: Adhere to the school’s policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.
*Marking and Feedback: Mark students’ work and provide detailed feedback to the class teacher
*Communication: Communicate effectively with other staff members, including teaching assistants and senior leadership, to ensure a smooth transition and continuity for students.

What you will need to succeed

*You will need to hold QTS and the right to work in the UK.
*Experience working within a primary classroom
*Good behaviour management and organisational skills
*You must hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a DBS through Hays
