Job Description:
Responsible for developing and supporting the financial management, analysis and MI for the investment fund including operating cost reporting, Projects finance reporting, production of fund and portfolio level P&L, support for business cases and other ad hoc analysis requests, supporting the budget process and management / oversight of the invoice management processes.
Key deliverables
*Produce monthly/ quarterly/ ad hoc departmental and direct asset management cost analysis reporting for the senior management including product, asset class, and sub portfolio TERs (Total Epense Ratio) and Profit & Loss figures.
*Maintain Investment Division headcount position and liaise with the Investments HR team to ensure all staff movements are tracked correctly. Ensuring new projects costs are correct and challenge budget holders to ensure costs are controlled effectively.
*Provide oversight to the Invoicing team and ensure the invoices are authorised and processed for payment in time to meet the vendor standard payment terms. This requires regular liaison with the shared services Accounts payable team and internal stakeholders escalating issues where necessary.
*Source and support ad hoc SAP data and reporting requests from team members
*Liaise with the shared services Finance team to verify and reconcile monthly management accounts.
*Submit accounting accruals and prepayment journals relating to costs where required.
*Work with the budget holders to produce annual budget, half yearly and Q3 forecasts by cost centre. Produce necessary analysis and reporting.
*Assist shared services Finance team with Budget/Forecast reporting to the board.
Person specifications
*Qualified accountant (ACA,CIMA, ACCA) from an Investment Management or Asset owner,  broader alternatives business or from the wider Financial Services industry
*Experience Management accountant/Cost accountant
*ERP experience and the ability to extract and manipulate large data sets is essential.
*Excel and Powerpoint experience and excellent presentation skills
*This role is at manager level with an analyst reporting into it so experience managing people, setting objectives and coaching and mentoring experience are valuable.
*You must have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
