The Houlihan Lokey Corporate Finance business has extensive expertise in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, activist shareholder and takeover defense, arranging financing, and other related advisory services for a broad range of clients. In addition, we have the proven ability to engineer and execute financing solutions that are essential for growth and success and offer access to financing in the public and alternative capital markets through the issuance of debt, equity, or hybrid securities.
In EMEA, we work with a wide spectrum of companies, from mid-market privately owned enterprises to large multinational organizations. With a growing EMEA platform of around 400 Corporate Finance bankers, we have the breadth and targeted expertise to provide exceptional client service.
Capital Markets Advisory
Our Capital Markets Advisory Group operates within the Corporate Finance business and is one of the firm’s fastest growing practices. As trusted advisors, we have the proven ability to engineer and execute financing solutions that are essential for growth and success or for refinancings for companies under duress. We offer access to financing in the public and alternative capital markets through the issuance of debt, equity, or hybrid securities. In EMEA, the team is a rapidly growing team, advising clients on the origination, structuring, and execution of private and public debt financings across numerous industries. Our European team comprises over 40 bankers in London, Manchester, Frankfurt, Paris and Milan.
Scope
The Capital Markets Advisory team at Houlihan Lokey is looking to add an Associate in London.

Requirements
• Strong academic track record and achieved a 2:1 or equivalent degree
• 3-5 years of experience within Debt Advisory, Structured/Project Finance, Capital Markets, or other similar role within an Investment Banking or Advisory firm
• Fundamental understanding of financial valuation methodologies, and applications
• Advanced financial modelling and analytical abilities; strong LBO and DCF modelling skills
• Top academic performer and a quick learner capable of performing in an unstructured environment
• European languages favourably required
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Proven accounting, finance and financial modeling abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English
• A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff
• Very strong work ethic and careful attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills and a proven self-starter
