CassonX are delighted to be recruiting for this recognised Hedge Fund that specialises in Quant/Systematic strategies. This fund has grown significantly since COVID, but still offering a nibble yet boutique working environment. This Long-Term Trend Following investment strategy in Exchange Traded Derivatives has seen then produce some outstanding returns, and given opportunity to reward their investors this year.
To be considered for this role CassonX are looking to identify someone with experience in supporting Listed Derivatives Trading, especially a Futures Operations / Middle Office / Prime Brokerage role and would like to work in Trading Assistant opportunity. We anticipate the successful candidate to have achieved 5-10 years exposure to allocations, recaps and post trade responsibilities with Prime Brokers, for a variety of Futures products like Stocks, Rates and Commodities. They would ideally like to see someone coming from an Investment Bank, Broker or Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) who has performed a trade lifecycle type of middle office role, and offers strong Excel skills – note you do not need to be a programmer as they have a separate Quant team supporting their algorithms. Preference will be given to those with advanced academics and those who are currently working in a Hedge Fund, albeit the client is not insistent on these aspects.
This interesting role will see you work directly with the owner and CIO of the fund, and sits in the Front Office making sure that all Systematic trading is completed and supported. Note there are no Traders in this firm as everything is algorithmic trade execution and you will directly support that style, so this role is more about monitoring live trading activities and running all daily post-trade procedures (allocations, recaps, resolving issues with Prime Brokers).
