Job Description:
The Vacancy
Main purpose of the role: *To work as part of a small team
*To run monthly and quarterly credit control reports
*To fully own the Accounts Payable function for a few clients
*To assist the team with various month and quarter end close processes
*To assist the team with the preparation of management accounts for several clients
*Opportunity to support on a variety of process improvements projects and gain management accounts experience
Key responsibilities:
Coverholder Reviews and Broker Scorecard: *Perform coverholder reviews for our syndicate clients
*Assist with populating the broker templates and the compilation of the final broker scorecards
*Provide research and relevant analysis on the performance of the brokers and coverholders
Premium Credit Control *Download syndicate data extracts and feedback reports for the premium credit control team in a timely manner to meet SLAs
*Produce monthly executive summaries, identifying anomalies and reporting inconsistencies
*Produce the monthly KPI reports ensuring the data is accurate
Management Accounts *Accounts Payable
*Accounts Receivable
*Bank reconciliations
*Assist team with Management Accounts preparation and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Key skills and experience required:
Essential Qualifications: *Good A-levels including Accounting; and/or
*Minimum of a relevant Degree or Experience/ Equivalent
*Early stage of Accountancy professional qualification desired - AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA etc
Essential Experience *Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel including use of Pivot tables, IF statements, VLOOKUPS and HLOOKUPS
*Good communication and interpersonal skills; role includes interacting with clients
*Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
*Prior experience/knowledge working with an accounting system
