Job Description
We’re recruiting for aFinancial Reporting Analystto join us. We’re offering acompetitive salary, great benefits and the opportunity to work within our Private Markets Central Financial Reporting team.
In this role you will produce the monthly and quarterly reporting data to support other finance teams and to produce the consolidated results for the LGC legal entity for Group reporting and audit purposes.
You will also support the Private Markets Manager in delivering their financial reporting obligations to L&G Group’s internal and external reporting deadlines, including consolidation of various sub-entities.
You will develop a deep knowledge of the Private Markets business and investment strategies and develop a close working relationship with the wider Asset Management Finance teams. What you’ll be doing: *Supporting on the delivery of monthly and quarterly postings for various entities under Asset Management’s control into the ledger and the Group’s consolidation tool.
*Assisting ex-LGC subsidiary entities with their submissions into the L&G Group consolidation, and assisting other L&G Finance teams with the Private Markets financial information.
*Preparing reconciliations and other control documentation in line with group requirements.
*Quarterly consolidation and validation of the ex-LGC results into the group’s internal and external reporting.
*Preparing holding company monthly reporting submissions.
*Liaising with the wider Asset Management finance and investment teams to reconcile differences between the local and consolidated group numbers.
*Producing IFRS statutory accounts for the Private Markets underlying legal entities and associated public submissions, including acting as the day-to-day point of contact with the Group’s auditors.
*Contributing to the maintenance of standardised financial control processes and procedures to ensure a strong, robust financial governance framework, including maintaining control documentation and process notes.
*Acting as a resource to the wider Private Markets team, including assisting the Direct Investment team with technical accounting support as and when required.
Qualifications
Who we’re looking for: *Qualified Accountant (preferably ACA or CIMA)
*Strong accounting knowledge/experience
*Financial Reporting experience
*Experience of working with financial controls (including control documentation)
*Strong Data Analysis skills
*High attention to detail
*Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
