Job Description:
This is a newly created hire to take ownership for loan operations – the vast majority of the role, as an SME. The firm are however multi-asset, so the hire will be trained up to share tasks with the wider trade support team.
The hire will manage loan closing, risk management/reporting, infrastructure development / automation, implementation of new business & the management of counterparties and vendors, all specific to the loans business. Many tasks (such as daily reconciliations) are outsourced, so typically work for the loans remit is less manual and can at times instead be focused on managing what is produced externally + analysing reports / providing commentary to the desk once received.
Candidates should have roughly 3-6yrs relevant loan operations experience, including closing. There is a strong preference for a buy-side specialist, but we are open to banking candidates. Strong project/automation experience is preferred, as is a familiarity with Clearpar.
Whilst the preference is to hire somebody more junior to step up, the role can pay a £75-100k base salary, allowing for a strong step up in current base for the successful hire. There is a conservative 30-50% bonus potential year one that can grow to a much larger % from year 2 onwards, assuming outstanding individual performance.
Whilst employees are expected to be in the office more often than not initially, once settled into the role is it possible to work 2-3 days from home per week.
