This global team specialises in conducting surveillance across all regions, ensuring market manipulation, misconduct, insider trading, and misuse of electronic communication are identified and addressed effectively.

As a Surveillance Senior Manager based in London, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our market integrity. Your responsibilities include identifying and addressing potential market manipulation and misconduct, coordinating with local and global teams to ensure a consistent level of surveillance, and serving as escalation point for for first level reviewers who have identified potential issues to ensure they are resolved efficiently. You will also contribute to the strategic vision of our surveillance function, ensuring our tools and processes remain cutting-edge and effective.

*Demonstrated experience in a similar surveillance or compliance role within the banking, financial services, or commodity trading industry, with a focus on the EMEA markets.
*Proficiency in using industry-leading surveillance applications, such as Nasdaq Trade Surveillance (NTS) or SMARTs, with a strong understanding of business processes and client interaction.
*A solid grasp of Compliance and Surveillance principles, with the ability to develop comprehensive metrics for reporting and regulator notifications when necessary.
*Self-directed and proactive in identifying, analysing, and solving problems, with a strong ability to build relationships with stakeholders both regionally and globally.
*Excellent communication skills, with the capability to work effectively within a global team environment, manage multiple priorities, and influence outcomes.

In our Risk Management Group, you will be part of an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. Our divisions include Compliance, Credit, Financial Crime Risk, Internal Audit, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, and Risk Management Group Central.
