Role overview:
Working as part of an integrated delivery team, you will play a key role in the testing and validation of features for our core system. You will plan and lead workstreams to test our innovative solutions, utilising latest Microsoft technologies and industry best practice.
You will share your deep technical knowledge and passion for technology with the team, supporting and mentoring less experienced team members. You will have a strong attention to detail, pro-actively identifying opportunities to maintain and enhance the testing of our solution, through reviews and feedback sessions.
Responsibilities: *Translate customer requirements and product goals into appropriate automation tests
*Improve existing testing framework and write new frameworks where needed
*Maximise automation test coverage of the product that results in reduction of manual tests execution
*Define the automation testing strategy for the given requirements
*Ensure that automation test suites are maintained and evolved to exercise appropriate coverage of the system following any change
*Ensure visibility, traceability and control of the testing process to deliver high-quality software
*Bring a growth mind-set, an eagerness to develop knowledge about the system at domain and technical level.
*Liaise with the development team, review code to a high standard and report on the status and forecasts of automation tests activities
About the candidate: *Minimum of 2.1 in Computer Science or closely related degree
*Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a software automation tester.
*Solid understanding and demonstrated ability to write C# code, Specflow, Selenium and SQL. Azure DevOps and Azure Cloud experience is a bonus.
*Fully versed in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
*Experience of testing web-based applications, REST and SOAP APIs
*Experience of testing transactional systems with multiple interfaces to 3rd party systems
*Confident in writing automation frameworks and tests from scratch
*Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts within a team.
