The firm is looking to recruit an ESG Analyst to join the ESG team in London, with a broad range of responsibilities and the opportunity to work closely with an exciting and varied portfolio. It is a dynamic and entrepreneurial organisation that is looking for a like-minded individual to join the team, with a passion and drive for sustainability. What the job involves *Working with the ESG team in the ongoing implementation of the ESG due diligence process for a portfolio of private and public companies. These companies are predominantly in the technology, financial services, healthcare and consumer/business service sectors
*Set up and ongoing coordination of the public market due diligence process including reporting and proxy voting, and reporting annually on public market stewardship outcomes
*Liaising with relevant internal functions to co-ordinate responses to questions from the firm’s investors and responses to regulatory and ESG developments/initiatives
*Implementation of a net zero strategy to support decarbonisation across the firm and portfolio
*Working with the ESG and wider team to deliver and coordinate the annual ESG forum
*Produce responsible investment/ESG related market research, competitor analysis and presentations for internal strategic meetings
*Work on and contribute to reporting related to sustainability including annual PRI and stewardship reporting
*Monitor sustainability and climate related regulatory developments to determine implications for the firm and our portfolio companies
*Undertake continual analysis of peer companies and other corporates to assess benchmark ESG positioning and disclosures, whilst identifying best practice
Who we are looking for *Excellent stakeholder skills - able to effectively listen, communicate, challenge and influence colleagues from multiple business areas
*Strong interest in sustainability/ESG topics and issues
*Knowledge of financial services and ideally private equity
*Knowledge of listed markets stewardship processes including proxy voting preferred
*Technical experience in handling large datasets in excel and reporting
*Ability to take proactive ownership and responsibility of issues and manage effectively through to resolution
*Organised and thorough in approach with high attention to detail and accuracy
*Demonstrates discretion and integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information
*Adaptable and flexible in approach and working patterns
*Excellent knowledge and practical experience of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
