Job Description:
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a qualified accountant to join a leading finance team based in London. This role is tailored for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both teamwork and autonomy. The firm covers a wide array of financial products, including fixed income, equity derivatives, foreign exchange (spot, forwards, options, swaps), bonds, interest rate swaps, and cryptocurrencies.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
*Supporting the day-to-day accounting and month-end close processes;
*Conducting balance sheet substantiation;
*Producing monthly management reports and commentary;
*Preparing regulatory returns for various jurisdictions;
*Supporting ICARA and ICAAP processes;
*Preparing VAT and tax computations for all entities;
*Liaising with global auditors and responding to routine queries, audits, and investigations;
*Preparing year-end financial statements.
Candidates should possess a relevant qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) and have a minimum of five years’ experience in financial services or a related industry. A strong focus on day-to-day accounting and a high level of attention to detail are essential. Candidates should have experience in either management reporting / accounting or regulatory reporting, although ideally, they will have both. Exposure to a broking environment would be advantageous, along with strong Excel skills. The role requires being in the office four days a week.
