Job Description:

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Commodities Trading C# Developer for a 6-month rolling contract with very good scope for extension. This is based in our client’s London Marylebone offices (3 days/week on-site). This is a great opportunity for long-term contracting work at a major investment bank.
Purpose of the Role:
The successful candidate will join the London-based core development team serving the full pre-trade through accounting chain for Commodities Derivatives. You will be working on a portfolio of projects covering enhancements to in-house systems managing pricing, risk, regulatory and post-trade services, alongside technical enhancements to reduce system complexity and increase scalability, performance and resilience.
Responsibilities of the role:
*To design and develop key pieces of functionality for a complex in-house Commodities Derivatives Platform.
*Ensure stability of this platform by ensuring releases are suitably tested and impacts are considered.
*Ensure supportability of solutions.
*Follow the team procedures for release control, code review, deployment, source code management and architectural governance.
What we require from the candidate:
Technical Skills
*Strong C# development experience.
*Strong SQL Server experience.
*Business knowledge of Commodities financial instruments.
*Desirable criteria include experience with micro-services, web technologies, CI, Consul, Redis and Octopus (non-essential).
Competencies
*Organised and delivery-focused, with attention to detail.
*Solid work ethic and high levels of motivation.
*Comfortable operating with a strong level of autonomy.
*Ability to work well under pressure.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
