Job Title: Sole Charge Finance Manager - Service Charge
Location: North West London
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum
Our client, a rapidly expanding property company in North West London, is looking to recruit a sole charge Service Charge Finance Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone to come in and potentially grow their own team in the future. The role offers the chance to be the number 1 in finance and help the company in an expansion phase.
The role is preferably fully office based but they would be open to an element of hybrid working.
The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing service charge accounting for a block management property portfolio. The portfolio consists of approximately 1000 units across London.
Job responsibilities:
*Responsible for all Service Charges.
*Report on service charge income and expenditure on a scheme-by-scheme basis.
*Maintain and reconcile scheme sinking funds and bank accounts
*Reconcile all accounts
*Bank reconciliations
*Reporting and query resolution on service charge issues
*Review and approve the certification of annual service charges
*Weekly payable process
*Spend versus budget reviews
*Annual budget management
What they are looking for:
*Service charge accounting experience within the property sector
*Experience using Xero is preferred but not essential
*Great communication skills
*The ability to work independently
*Ability to build rapport and good working relationships at a senior level within the business
*Ability to multitask
*Working towards and accountancy qualification or qualified by experience
