Power Electronics Engineer
Brief overview
*Role: Power Electronics Engineer
*Location: Hitchin
*Role type: Permanent
*Salary: £60k-£75k DOE (can also consider more junior and senior candidates)
*Working type: Hybrid working
Recruit 12 has an exciting opportunity for a Power Electronics Engineer to join a specialised engineering firm, focusing on the design, manufacture and testing of high-value, low-volume electronic products.
They prioritise quality and efficiency according to the best engineering standards across all project stages.

Responsibilities
*Manage design projects to meet specifications and budget requirements
*Collaborate with Sales to align technical requirements and capabilities
*Support Production with technical input to enhance manufacturing and testing efficiency
*Ensure design compliance with company standards, customer specifications and legislation
*Generate and approve system-level block diagrams, schematics, and PCB layouts
*Conduct simulations, component analysis, and data pack generation
*Develop and validate Acceptance Test Procedures
*Support production through troubleshooting and debugging
*Oversee component library management
Required Skills
*Full lifecycle power electronics design
*Digital/Analogue design
*Experience with power electronics such as power supplies
*EMC/EMI knowledge
*Schematics and PCB design
*Testing and prototyping
Desirable (not essential)
*Altium experience
*Solidworks experience
*Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
