Our client on Teesside is seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant in the £34,000 to £40,000 salary range. This is an office based role.

The business is fast growing, very well funded and at an exciting stage of development.

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for day to day financial reporting, helping produce the monthly management accounts pack, as well as support other finance and wider business functions. 
 
Detailed responsibilties will include
*Supporting the month end process and preparation of the monthly management accounts 
*Journals, accruals & prepayments 
*Maintaining the fixed asset register
*Supporting with process improvements
*Balance sheet reconciliations  
*Quarterly VAT returns 
Potential canddiates will exhibit the following competencies
*Confident, experienced accountant 
*Prior experience in supporting with management accounts 
*Hardworking, proactive and a good team player with positive attitude
*Competent user of IT/ERP packages 
*Strong Microsoft Excel skills 
*Probably part qualified in AAT/CIMA/ACCA or possibly by expereince for the right person
*Strong eye for detail 
*Familiarity with deadlines
