Job Title: Registered Service Manager- Supported Accommodation
Location: Coventry
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000
Annual Leave: 35 days + 8 Statutory Bank Holidays
Hours: 09:00 - 17:00 (flexibility required)

Our client provides compassionate, high-quality supported accommodation for young people aged 16-18, including those with experience in care and unaccompanied asylum seekers. Job Summary
The Registered Service Manager will oversee the supported accommodation services, ensuring excellence in care, compliance, and support for young people. You will lead the day-to-day management of the service, supervise a team of support workers, maintain regulatory standards, and collaborate with external agencies to provide tailored support that promotes positive outcomes for each individual.
Responsibilities
*Ensure effective, efficient delivery of services in line with organisational policies and legislation.
*Recruit, supervise, train, and manage a team of support workers.
*Manage small budgets effectively to meet service objectives.
*Ensure compliance with regulations and standards, including Ofsted and Quality Standards.
*Enforce strict adherence to safeguarding policies, ensuring staff are trained to identify and respond to safeguarding issues.
*Coordinate regular reviews of support plans, risk assessments, and individual progress to tailor services to each young person’s needs.
*Develop strong partnerships with local authorities and relevant agencies to benefit young people.
*Advocate for young people, ensuring their voices are central to decision-making.
*Lead the development of personalised support plans focused on life skills, mental health, education, and personal growth.
*Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment that respects young people’s cultural and emotional needs.
*Coordinate efforts to help young people build independence through essential life skills development.
*Ensure trauma-informed, culturally sensitive support practices for all young people.
Key Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
*Level 4 or 5 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
*2+ years of experience in a similar managerial role within supported accommodation or social care.
*Experience with young people aged 16-18, especially those with care experience and unaccompanied asylum seekers.
*Strong understanding of legislation, standards, and best practices in supported accommodation.
*Excellent verbal and written English skills.
*Computer literacy, including Excel spreadsheet knowledge.
Skills and Abilities
*Strong leadership and team management skills.
*Excellent written and oral communication, with the ability to build relationships with young people, staff, and stakeholders.
*Knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to creating a secure environment for vulnerable young people.
*Empathy, cultural sensitivity, and understanding of challenges faced by care leavers and asylum seekers.
Additional Requirements
*Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
*Flexibility to occasionally support staff with later shifts, weekends, and participation in the on-call rota as needed.
