Programme Director
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 per annum + Excellent benefits
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid working (1-2 times per week working from their London office; Farringdon/Chancery Lane area) and with some UK wide travel when required
Working hours: Full-time (open to a conversation about flexible working options)
Our client supports people living with mental health needs by supporting a strong and thriving mental health workforce. They are experts in recruitment, professional training and leadership development for mental health practitioners in the NHS and local communities, ensuring the right people can deliver the right support at the right time. They want to see a society where everyone with mental health problems can live fulfilling lives. To achieve this, they need a thriving mental health workforce.
Our client is passionately committed to training talented people to be an effective part of the mental health workforce. Their flagship programme has put mental health social work on the map as a career of choice for over 1,000 new graduates and career changers. Through their programmes of work, they partner with and support NHS mental health trusts and local authorities across the country, working with Consultant Social Workers, Operational Leads, Practice Specialists and Practice Educators to embed the social approach to mental health services and support, focusing on the social factors in people’s lives that impact on their mental health.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious mental health charity as they celebrate their first decade. They are proud of all they have achieved in their first 10 years and excited about their future plans. With a high quality and popular programme in place and a fantastic, well-skilled team, they are now looking to extend their work into the wider mental health environment. As their next Programme Director, you will have a strategic focus on achieving this wider impact alongside developing new business opportunities for their programmes, while working collaboratively with the CEO and senior leadership team colleagues.
The Candidate
We are looking to appoint a collaborative and ambitious leader who brings a wide range of leadership skills and experience including: 
*Experience of working in health, social care, social work, mental health, education, citizenship, government, training or other related fields A track record of leading and managing large, complex programmes of work involving multiple stakeholders Experience of operating at strategic level, with inspirational leadership skills Experience of leading successful bids and tender writing, process and project management A successful track record of identifying and developing new business opportunities
