A Senior Buyer is responsible for overseeing the range build, profit margins, supplier agreements, and performance of the product range, ensuring high-quality and overall commercial success. In this role, you will be pivotal to the success of your product range.

Their retail team is rapidly expanding and they are seeking a Senior Buyer to join their team.
Description
*Develop and implement buying strategies for fast-moving consumer products
*Evaluate supplier options according to prices, quality etc. and determine the best choices
*Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate contracts that achieve the most favourable terms
*Assess, manage, and mitigate risks in procurement processes
*Identify opportunities for impulse buy product range expansion and promotion
*Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
*Ensure the consistency of the quality of the items purchased
*Keep abreast of changes in the retail industry and adjust strategies as necessary
Profile
A successful Senior Buyer should have:
*Proven experience as a retail buyer, particularly in FMCG
*Strong negotiation skills with sourcing from the Far East
*Excellent analytical and commercial planning abilities
*Strong supplier base and contract negotiation skills
*Exceptional organisational and leadership skills
