Job Description:

*Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are seeking a dedicated Geography Lead Teacher to join our vibrant academy in Medway. The role involves creating and delivering excellent educational content, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning in geography.
Day-to-day of the role: *Develop and implement a dynamic geography curriculum that engages and challenges students.
*Lead the planning, delivery, and assessment of geography lessons across various year groups.
*Monitor and evaluate the progress and outcomes of students, implementing interventions where necessary.
*Provide professional leadership and management for the geography department to secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources, and improved standards of learning and achievement for all students.
*Mentor and support colleagues within the department, promoting continuous professional development.
*Collaborate with other department heads and senior management to enhance the overall strategic direction of the academy.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Geography or a related field.
*Proven experience in teaching geography at secondary level.
*Strong leadership skills with experience in curriculum planning and department management.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff towards achieving excellence.
*Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
