A primary school in Walthamstow are seeking a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child on a 1 to 1 basis in reception.
The Role
In this SEN Teaching Assistant role you will be supporting a child with Special Needs in the school’s reception class. The child has an EHCP and their needs include Autism (non-verbal) and a Visual Impairment and you will work closely with the school’s SENCO to prepare activities to meet their needs. There will be a focus on communication and interaction, regulation, sensory development as well as supporting the them to access whole class/school activities. 
The school are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant with the following: 
*SEND experience – working with children with Autism including non-verbal / Visual Impairment
*Experience of working with EYFS age children (3-5)
*Knowledge of non-verbal method of communication
This role is offered on a full-time contract basis with an immediate start.
