Job Description:
Our client is a successful service provider who require an Accounts Payable Manager to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a global community of talented individuals, all working towards a safer future.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the Accounts Payable service, providing guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to payment specialists.

As an Accounts Payable Manager, your role will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with payables policies and procedures related to efficient and effective payment for goods and services received. You will take charge of overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable team, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and on time. Your strong attention to detail will be crucial in reviewing historical performance against metrics and implementing remediation plans to improve performance. Collaborating with other finance teams, you will support month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring all accounts payable transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
*Take full responsibility of the subledger under the direction of the Global Finance Service Director
*Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, purchase orders, expense reports , and payments
*Supervise and operate daily activity in accordance with the AP calendar of tasks and events
*Review historical performance vs metrics, create and deploy remediation plans to improve performance
*Ensure invoice processing is performed within agreed targets and SLA’s
*Review and approve payment runs
*Ensure employee expenses are paid on time
*Collaborate with other finance teams to support month-end and year-end close processes
The ideal candidate for this Accounts Payable Manager position brings strong people management skills, having previously managed a mid-sized Accounts Payable function. You have proven success at implementing fit-for-purpose processes and procedures within an organisation that has formalised compliance policies. Your proficiency in accounting software (ideally Workday) coupled with your strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability makes you an asset to any finance team. Effective communication skills are also key as you’ll be working collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.
*Strong people management skills
*Experience managing a mid-sized Accounts Payable function
*Proficiency in accounting software (ideally Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite
*Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and problem-solving ability
*Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
