Are you a talented and innovative Development Engineer looking to take on exciting challenges in the field of metal packaging products? Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a proactive and skilled individual to join their dynamic team of experts. As a Development Engineer, you will play a vital role in driving engineering projects, from concept to implementation, in our client’s state-of-the-art Crown plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilise CAD (SolidWorks) to design metal packaging components, tools, and machine parts, with a keen focus on Design for Manufacture (DFM).
Create detailed technical drawings to ensure precise product specifications.
Organise and execute product and process development work in our client’s technical facilities, setting up equipment, and manufacturing samples for testing, demonstrations, and customer trials.
Evaluate and test new product specifications to ensure their feasibility and efficiency.
Generate product manufacturing standards and specifications to maintain high-quality standards.
Transfer technology into the manufacturing plants, assisting with documentation preparation and providing commissioning support.
Serve as a problem-solving resource for operations, resolving manufacturing issues in our client’s plants.
Analyse graphical representations of data and provide technical reports based on interpretation.
Skills and Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience such as an HNC or apprenticeship.
Solid experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Design & Build environments.
Proficiency in SolidWorks for CAD design.
Full driving licence and ability to travel when required.
