Full Time Permanent Role
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a trainee with experience in the real estate finance industry to join our team. We are committed to providing excellent service to our clients and are looking for a candidate who will share those values. We are a growing company who are seeking candidates who are committed to developing their skills and experience.
Duties include:
*Handling and assessing affordability of potential borrowers affordability. This includes reviewing borrowers existing assets and liabilities, checking their credit profile and any adverse credit history and reviewing their cash position in mind to be able to perform on our loan.
*Raising and drafting loan offers, development releases and mortgage statement.
*Underwriting loans to mitigate risk from initial contact through to practical loan completion. More specifically, this involves liaising with valuers and analysing their reports to get a true understanding of the property value and making sure all elements of risk are known to the valuer. Understanding term-lenders products and ensuring our borrowers have sufficient coverage to exit our loan, either with a refinance or an exit-by-sale. This ties into to the duty of making sure we are not overexposing ourselves, leverage-wise, to an asset that does not have a clear exit.
*Analysing the UK real estate market and considering appetite for future lending
*Handling post loan matters from development funding to granting of leases
*Managing live loan portfolio to ensure performance continues throughout term
Skills and experience required:
*Strong numerical skills
*Strong organisational skills
*Proficiency in verbal and written English
*Proficiency in Microsoft office (Particularly Excel)
*Strong attention to detail
*Experience dealing with client correspondence via phone/outlook
*Understanding of UK real estate
*Understanding of national interest rate fluctuations and impact on RE
