Job Description:
Reed HR have partnered exclusively with a leading aviation company based in Gatwick who are seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to join their team.
In this pivotal role, you will provide consistent and professional HR advice across the company, becoming the go-to person for managers and employees navigating complex employee relations issues.
Your responsibilities will include supporting employees at Gatwick Airport, managing grievances, TUPEs, absences, and consultations. You’ll work closely with senior management, line managers, and HR colleagues, ensuring their people-first culture remains at the core of their operations.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide expert advice and support on a wide range of employee relations issues including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and redundancy.
*Develop and implement employee relations policies to ensure they are in line with current legislation and best practices.
*Work closely with HR and management teams to proactively manage employee relations and minimise disputes.
*Conduct investigations and complex case management, including preparing for and attending formal meetings.
*Deliver training sessions to line managers on employee relations issues and changes in employment law.
*Maintain accurate records of all employee relations cases and report on trends and outcomes to senior management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience in an Employee Relations role, ideally within the aviation sector or a similarly fast-paced environment.
*Strong knowledge of employment law and best practices in employee relations.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations diplomatically.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a high caseload with tight deadlines.
*Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
