Area Sales & Project Manager

Cooper Lomaz are currently exclusively working with a growing and well-established organisation working within Technical Engineering space with clients within Medical, Gaming and commercial hardware industries. Our client are currently seeking an Area Sales Manager to help drive our global sales team based in Sandy Bedfordshire where you will be working with US and UK based clients across sales and controlling the projects.
This position is working with high value capital equipment, often custom. to engineers and production that are designing and producing further components. These are long processes and projects that need to be managed throughout the cycle and guiding customers and engineers through the process.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a space where our client is well recommended and know where you will be responsible for the profitable development of sales within a defined territory, in-line with company objectives and growth targets. The successful candidate will be joining a small but established team of sales, service, and engineers, where you will be generating and developing existing sales opportunities with new and existing customers from global blue chips to technology start-ups. Applicants will have a sales or area manager experience where you have ideally worked within an Engineering, IT or Semiconductor environment, however all product information will be trained, but you will be liaising with Engineers and Technical customers day-today, so some sort of technical background is preferred.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
*Generating and developing sales opportunities with new and existing customers from global blue chips to technology start-ups.
*Closing sales and achieving sales targets
*Managing customer opportunities for bespoke capital equipment within the semiconductor industry
*Facilitating customer requests for high value, bespoke systems
*Preparing detailed technical quotes
*Handling tenders and understanding contractual negotiations, both commercial and technical
*Project managing customer liaison during lengthy sales cycles
*Producing PowerPoint presentations to support sales activities
*Sales forecasting
*Assist with managing the company’s marketing activities
*Attending exhibitions and trade shows
*Networking at industry events
*Developing a strong network of agents, representatives and distributors.
Requirements
*Experience of selling bespoke equipment within a technical market
*Electronics experience
*Knowledge of the capital equipment sales process
*Degree educated or equivalent technical qualification
*Strong interpersonal presentation skills
*Excellent communication skills at all levels
*Multi-tasking
Desirable
*Semiconductor OR a Technical industry experience
*Working with agents and/or distributors
*Experience within a manufacturer of technical products
*Long sales cycles
*High value/low volume system sales
*Test and measurement
*Precision or scientific instrumentation
*An appreciation of the semiconductor manufacturing process
