As a Food Technology Teacher, you’ll play a key role in delivering dynamic and engaging lessons that equip students with both practical culinary skills and theoretical knowledge of food science, nutrition, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities: *Teach Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4, ensuring lessons are creative, practical, and challenging.
*Plan and deliver engaging lessons that help students understand food science, nutrition, and healthy living.
*Inspire students to develop practical cooking skills, from basic preparation techniques to more complex recipes.
*Provide feedback and assessments to support student progress and achievement.
*Work closely with the department and school leadership to improve curriculum delivery and outcomes.
*Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Requirements:
*QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK is mandatory.
*A strong background in Food Technology, including nutrition, cooking, and food science.
*Experience teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4, with a proven track record of success in the schools of the UK.
*Strong communication and classroom management skills.
*A passion for helping students develop their skills and knowledge in food education.
*The ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with varying levels of ability.
*A collaborative, positive approach to teaching and teamwork.
*Competitive salary between £30,000 - £40,000 per year.
*A welcoming and supportive team of staff and leadership.
