MEDIA LAWYER
SCRIPTED TV OR FILM
LONDON

We are seeking an experienced media lawyer with scripted TV or film experience to become a crucial part of our client’s small, close-knit legal and business affairs team. This part-time (or full-time) position, which requires in-depth knowledge of actors, directors and writers contracts, offers the chance to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide legal and business affairs support on all talent and rights deals.
*Offer related advice to agents across all sectors, including comedy, film, TV, and books.
*Engage in a varied role, advising on matters concerning our client’s impressive roster of clients.
Requirements and Knowledge:
*Solid understanding of the media industry, landscape, and key players in UK TV and film production.
*Experience with scripted content, including writers’ and directors’ agreements, option agreements, and actor’s agreements.
*Familiarity with UK collective agreements (Equity/WGGB) and, ideally, some knowledge of US collective agreements.
*Experience with book-to-screen options.
*Understanding of GDPR/data protection is advantageous.
