What we are looking for:
*Strong time management skills and the ability to proactively plan and schedule your own workload, to meet patient care requirements
*The flexibility to work across a varied shift pattern
*Experience in observation and assessment of clinical practice, to determine standards of care
*An understanding of specific needs of patients approaching end of life and in the terminal phase
You will develop and handle your own caseload of patients across Argyll & Bute living with a terminal illness as either a primary or secondary diagnosis. You will receive referrals from a range of primary care professionals, including District Nurses, Social Workers and CPNs to ensure the right care packages and support is being provided, at the time the patients need it.
In return, you will receive support from the Clinical Nurse Manager for Scotland North and West and a team of Senior Nurses. 
Confident communicator and calm decision maker, you’ll need experience and knowledge in palliative care and community services, together with well-developed assessment and planning skills. The ability to prioritise your work, whilst juggling a variety of changing demands, is vital.
You must be willing to travel across Argyll & Bute to patients’ homes, hospitals and other venues to plan and review care requirements, working with other professionals involved in their care.  The ability to drive with access to a vehicle insured for business use is therefore essential.
