Adults Social Worker
Team: Initial Response
Location: Barnsley
Rate: £35
The Advanced Social Work Practitioner within the Barnsley Adult Social Care Initial Response Team will be responsible for the allocation of incoming work. This role involves making safeguarding decisions, allocating work, and providing both informal and formal supervision and support to ensure the smooth running of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Triage of Incoming Work: Assess and prioritise incoming referrals to adult social care, ensuring that urgent cases are identified and addressed promptly.
• Safeguarding Decision Making: Make informed decisions regarding safeguarding concerns, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults.
• Allocation of Work: Distribute cases and tasks among team members based on their skills and workload, ensuring an efficient and balanced distribution of work.
• Supervision and Support: Provide both informal and formal supervision to team members, offering guidance, support, and feedback to enhance their professional development.
• Team Management: Support the day-to-day operations of the Initial Response Team, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
