Estimator - Piling
About the Client
My Client provides a complete foundation and groundworks package that helps reduce the risk and costs associated with managing multiple specialist sub-contractors. Thier multi-purpose concrete working surface is designed to stay in place, eliminating the need for costly piling mats.
The Job
Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager, the role involves:
About the Role
*Preparing tender designs and estimates for piled retaining walls based on customer enquiries and internal procedures.
*Securing profitable work that aligns with strategic goals.
*Developing and maintaining client relationships from the enquiry stage through to the point of order and beyond.
*Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, and overheads, based on project specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
*Develop competitive bids and proposals, ensuring all specifications are addressed, and submit bids on time.
*Perform accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications to determine materials and labor requirements.
*Obtain competitive quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising on quality.
*Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project scopes and incorporate them into estimates.
*Collaborate with clients to understand project needs and provide advice on cost-effective solutions.
*Utilize estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Masterpiece, or other relevant tools) to compile, manage, and track estimates.

Qualifications & Experience:
*Full UK clean driving license
*Minimum of 2 years? experience in ground investigation/ground engineering/geotechnical setting
*Previous pricing experience (preferred but not essential)
*Previous design experience (preferred but not essential)
