Assistant Chef - Term Time Only
Location: Bracknell
Salary: £22,508 per annum
Contract: 35 hours per week, 43.6 weeks per year
Working Hours: 07:30 AM - 02:30 PM, Monday to Friday
We are offering a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Chef to join our vibrant team at a well-regarded school. This term-time only position allows you to work in a supportive and dynamic environment, where you’ll be contributing to the daily catering service for students. You’ll work alongside the Chef Manager and be an integral part of a close-knit kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals for students, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
Support the Chef Manager in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen organisation.
Take charge of kitchen duties and meal service in the absence of the Chef Manager.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and work areas.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations during term time.
About You:
A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.
Experience in a similar kitchen role is preferred but not essential.
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and under pressure.
Passion for cooking and working in an educational environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions carefully.
